It calls for a celebration!!

Its a lovely lovely day!Bf nailed a job + I got my pay cheque banked in! Went for a mini celebration at Timbre @ Old School after work!



Sweetness from my student (the girl hiding behind). She gave me a sticker from her collection, when I told her Jasmine from Disney is my favourite. Awww....Spot e sticker on my arms. It was on my arms e whole of e lesson coz I was so happy. =)

The angels took this picture of me. I asked them, who wants to take picture of me with e sticker?They went "ME! ME! ME! ME!". and then...the picture came out like this without showing the sticker. hahaha...

updates for the week.

The usual Saturdays, bringing his little cousins out for ice creams. He's trying to show his biceps power, carrying 2 kids with each arms.

eyelids swollen severely for 2 days. I seriously duno why but suspect its the eyelash glue that must have expired or gone all wrong after leaving it unused for 1 month.

I looked like I went for eyelid surgery. I tot it looked pretty good though, with the thicker eyelids. Haha...

Pretty obvious right?1 eyelid looked like its distorted. Swollen eyes for 2 days. Luckily the falsies managed to keep my eyelids in place, if not I will look like a pig with swollen eyes.

Count your blessings.

Blessings in disguise. Its true.

1) Didn't get e chance to choose which off day I want, was given Monday and Sat as off days. My colleagues chose Friday as their off days so I was left with only Monday. But on e other hand, I have no Monday blues. No work on Mondays! Labour Day falls on a Sunday, and that means...I have a consecutive 3 days off-Fri, Sat (my original off day), Sun! Awesome!!! This privilege only exclusive to myself. Did I also mention there are a couple more upcoming Public Holidays that falls on my working day? Hee hee...So, lesson learnt, though I didn't have the choice/privilege to choose my off days, I was given one of e best. ^_^

2) Realised my bank account amount inflated overnight. Nope it wasn't the Government growth dividends. Nope not Bf. An online check on my internet banking transaction revealed that it was my pay when I was working part time 2 months ago. I can't even remember I haven't received part of my pay. The money came just in time.

3) My consecutive 3 days off falls at the exact same week of my 1 year anniversary with Bf. Short getaway celebration!yes?

4) Had to do translation work due to my Chinese speaking boss. Needless to say, my forte in Mandarin came to use. Always thought my strength in Chinese wouldn't help me in any way when it comes to work. When people tell me, "wah..ur cheena damn good!". I always reply, "good got what use..now where got people care if your Chinese good in the corporate world.." But, this time, it did.

So, all in all, when you least expects it, life springs surprises on you. Even when things seems grey, maybe it really isn't so. It just means something better is coming your way.

So, 做人看开一点。凡事并不是你想像的那么差。 =)

work has been great so far. these kids drive me to my brinks when I can't handle them, but at the end of e day, e sense of accomplishment derived, makes it all worthwhile.

10th & going.

went on a crazy shopping spree on our monthsary. oh well, to make it more precise, went for a mad rush for teacher wear, revamping my wardrobe. Great success!

2 more months to mark our 1st anniversary. =)

Fuzzy feelings.

Teaching at Nanyang Pri Sch. Super packed canteen during lunch hour. Spot the discipline master!haha...

It sure feels a little warm and fuzzy in the heart, brings me back to my schooling days. The reason why I wanna be a teacher, was because of my teacher when I was in pri sch. I would always bawl my eyes out whenever mum send me to sch and leaves. She would always carry me and place me on her lap, hug me tightly me as she reads the class stories. Everybody would sit on the floor facing her, and I, would feel at ease sitting on her lap, in her arms...

Its really not easy teaching these kids, their attention span is short and gets bored easily, so I had to think of ways to engage them, get their attention and get them to complete their work. Well, I almost died at the end of the class, I literally slumbered and lay flat onto the car seat when boss came to fetch us back, with my colleagues laughing and telling me, "WELCOME TO THE TEACHING WORLD."

I guess what makes it worthwhile, is when I could get the kids to open up to me, enjoy my class, and see them learning something at the end of the lesson.


Mum said, maybe Im destined to teach. I hope it really is.

i nailed a teaching job to kids of 0 to 12 yr olds!oways wanted to teach little kids,but due to no experience,its not easy to get one.even if i managed to get an interview,e pay is not even at borderline acceptable. when i got this job,pay was pretty gd,i was exhilirated!kids are much better to work with than adults.i always love kids.they are real.they like u or hate u,they show it,kids dont pretend. so yeap,im really happy today!!
